Who We Are

A Safe Space for LGBTQ+ Christian Millennials

We are a diverse community of millennial Christians in the greater Los Angeles area united by a common identity as followers of Jesus Christ and members of the LGBTQ+ community.

We strive to live as witnesses of God’s work in LGBTQ+ believers.

We build intentional Christian friendships.

We foster spiritual growth by sharing our stories.

We seek to reach those in the process of reconciling their faith and sexuality.

Our Story

Compass L.A. started in 2015 as a private Facebook group in 2015 after several LA-based LGBTQ Christians sought to form community after attending the Gay Christian Network (now Q Christian Fellowship) international conference.

Originally known as the L.A. Waffles, it wasn’t long before the group of 10 members turned into nearly 450. With the help of devoted Compass members, a team maintains and organizes monthly spiritual, social and outreach events around Los Angeles.

Today, Compass L.A. has steadily grown into a diverse space of LGBTQ+ Christian millennials to find fellowship, support, and spiritual growth.

Let’s build community together.
